Fittonia Albiveins is the best pick if you want a beautiful foliage plant that can be grown indoors and is absolutely low maintenance. In some parts of South Africa which is also the origin of this plant, can be found as a creeping plant under a bushy tree.

Choose a container that has good drainage holes, not one but at least 3-4 drainage holes is a must.
The container could be either a plastic, ceramic or terracotta or glass but never a metal, especially if you are living in hot and humid climate region.
Potting mix
Make a light weight potting mix that is permeable, and organic in nature. To make one such potting mix one can use, 3 parts of cocopeat, 3 parts of compost, 1 part of perlite or sand or rice husk / hull

While growing Fittonia Albiveins indoors, due to lack of sunlight the plant needs extra support from fertilizer to grow well.
Hence always use fertilizers that has humic acid for example sea weed fertilizer.
Add 2 to 3 drops of liquid sea weed fertilizer to 500 ml of water and use this while watering the plants and also while giving light foliage mist.
Fittonia Albiveins aka nerve plant can be grown with cuttings of the stem or even from the leaves. Use the potting mix as advised above and propogate in terrarium environment for best result.
Pro tip: Fittonia Albiveins loves humidity, hence the best way to propagate it is by growing them in terrarium environment. You can use any glass jar or transparent plastic container to make a terrarium.
